Water Utility
The Village of Stockbridge Water Utility is regulated by the PSC (Public Service Commission). The Village of Stockbridge is compelled to follow the rules, rates and regulation of the PSC. Residential Rates (which are 5/8” meters) established for the Village of Stockbridge are as follows:
* Public Fire Protection: $17.20 per Month
* Base General Water Service: $10.00 per Month
* Volume Charges are as follows:
- First 10,000 gallons used each month or
- 30,000 gallons used each quarter – $5.60 per 1,000 gallons
- Over 10,000 gallons used each month or
- 30,000 gallons used each quarter – $5.00 per 1,000 gallons
The Village of Stockbridge bills for water service are rendered monthly and become due and payable upon issuance following the period for which service is rendered. The combined General Water Service and Public Fire Protection charges WITHOUT including volume will be $27.50 per month. A late payment charge of 1 percent per month will be added to bills not paid within the 20 days of issuance. This late payment charge will be applied to the total unpaid balance for utility service, including unpaid late payment charges. The late payment charge is applicable to all customers. The utility customer may be given a written notice that the bill is overdue no sooner than 20 days after the bill is issued. Unless payment or satisfactory arrangements for payment is made within the next 10 days, service may be disconnected pursuant to Wis Adm. Code Ch PSC 185
Your meter will be read every month around the 20th of each month.
Sewer Utility
The billing rate for the Sewer Utility is a flat $38.50 per month for residential customers. In addition, each month your bill will include a volume charge of $4.25 per 1,000 gallons of water usage.
Other Sewer Utility flat rates that can be charged are: Additional Sewer $38.50 per month, Small Commercial Charge $7.50 per mo., and Large Commercial Charge $15.00 per mo.
The Sewer Utility is not PSC regulated. Rates and policies are determined by the Village of Stockbridge Sewer Commission that consists of five appointed Village residents.
Bills are sent out monthly and payments can be mailed directly to the Village of Stockbridge Utilities at PO Box 205, Stockbridge, WI 53088. or payable at the State Bank of Chilton, Stockbridge Branch, PO Box 38, Stockbridge, WI 53088.
Bills are for the prior month and due by the 20th of each month.
The Village of Stockbridge Water and Sewer Utility Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month at the Village of Stockbridge Office (unless otherwise noted). Agendas are posted at the Village office, Stockbridge Post Office, , and viewable online at www.villageofstockbridgewi.gov .
